Hawthorn and Olive Leaf Tea
This product contains hawthorn and olive leaf.
Hawthorn
There are two types of Hawthorn: Carataegus managyna and Carataegus oxyacantha. The latter is the one more used and widely spread even though they both have the same medicinal properties.
Hawthorn belongs to Rosary family. It is a perennial tree with green leaves resembles to the Rhamnus leaves. It has small-sized white blossoms which later in the year turn into haws (the fruit of the Hawthorn). The fruits look similar to berries. Parts used: flowers, leaves and fruit pulp.
Hawthorn is native to Europe, North Africa, West Asia and the Middle East. It is known since ancient times and is used as a tea for heart diseases. Hawthorn fruit is sweet and has a scathing effect on the tongue.
